Iron Maiden show in Montreal

Went to see Iron Maiden tonight. Wonderful show 8 out of 10. If the sound was better a 10. These guys seem to care about what they do. Too bad modern tech can't give us all hesd phones to really capture the sound during a big show. Big venue shows give you the excitment of it all, but sound is always a problem.

Lokigui's Big Bad Car Accident. and its unfortunate effects.

I have not posted on my blog since early March BECAUSE I was hit by a car on March 23rd and died. Well almost I was in the hospital for 70 days and am now comining out of what has been the most horrible experience of my life. This accident has cost me my business, my girlfriend, my living and my joie de vivre. Things are getting some what better. The worst has been losing my girlfriend. Maybe I will get a song out of it.

Studio Inclement Weather

I am at the recording studios of the McGill Conservatory of Music. Bistra Radoslavova Ivanova is kind enough to record and mix my Inclement Weather track. It is the click track. Ryan Higgans and myself laid the drum track and guitar track. I still need the piano track Phil Bech and Bass track.Then its the final voice mix and master. Should be in the can by March 1, 2006.

I have been writing recording in the rough and modifying my songs for a while now. I expect to be in the recording studio around Samhain time and finished by Midsummer. This is my first pod cast featuring songs that will be on my upcoming CD Acoustic Dancer. I came across a few Pagan pod casts and felt I would give it a try. I introduce the CD with a melody line from Slayer “Dead Mans Mask" under my spoken word. This song is consistent throughout the podcast. First song is Inclement Weather, Second is a song called Pixie O’ I wrote it for my friend Jacqueline who is a Fairy a delightful Fairy. The third song is called “Green Man” which will be featured in an upcoming documentary called “Pagans”. The song is a circle chant. Fourth on the play list is a song featuring my band Triskalia. This song was one of the first songs I wrote. It was significant for me when I wrote it and continues today to be a valid feeling about the Craft. It is called Maiden Mother Crone. It is a worship song for the triple Goddess. I hope that you enjoy this podcast and do feel free to share it with others if you are so inclined.

Guitar, strings, and drums make a traditional and catchy alternative Pagan band sound with Celtic roots. It's earthy music whose vocals are also very interesting--the male lead always sounds traditionally bard-like, and the subject matter skips around to many Pagan subjects like magick and mythology. Based in Montreal, Triskalia is made up of some very talented artists, most of who do or have done other musical projects as well. Give them a listen.
